It's not a big surprise to most that my favorite family, outside of my own of course, is Erin's family. A favorite past time has always been traveling to the farm in east Texas. There's nothing better than a weekend without television, a blackberry that does NOT work and friends I miss seeing everyday of my life.
This year there was a baby boom which kept everyone busy! Time flew by too fast, I wish we had more time to sit, share and just enjoy one another. We spent all of Saturday at the Texas State Railroad, most famously known for the Polar Express rides at Christmas time. It was the first time my kids had been on a real train. Grace cracked me up when we got on, she leaned over and told me, "I wish this thing had seat belts".
Hope you enjoy the pictures, I l-o-v-e the way a few of these turned out. Definitely some of my new favorites.

Welcome Little One
I am a firm believer that God puts people in our lives for a reason. About eighteen years ago (this would be junior high for those doing the math) I met a girl named Erin. It wasn’t until high school that Erin and I really bonded and became friends. Today our relationship is far more than friendship. Erin has become a sister to me. Through our friendship I have been blessed with a family to love as well. Not having a sibling of my own, I always considered Erin’s little sister, Allison, a sister of my own. She’s a special part of my life and our friendship is more valuable than she’ll ever know. This week Ali began a new adventure in life when she gave birth to her beautiful daughter Aubrey Rebecca. Aubrey will be blessed with a family, both near and far, to guide her though this chaotic world. Most of all she will be blessed to have Ali as a mother.
Ali – all my congratulations to you and Zac. You will undoubtedly be a wonderful mother to Aubrey. Enjoy every one of these precious moments.
All photo credits go to Aubrey's Mimi...just think, this was only the first two days :)
